Practice self-care
Hey there! I’m Richard Durborow, a psychotherapist living in Ventura, CA. I am the author of “Anxiety & Stress: Learning to Dance in the Rain.”
Anxiety and stress are often painted as enemies to be eliminated. But after working with hundreds of patients I’ve learned that they can also be messengers pointing us toward deeper truths. You can preview my book on Amazon.com.
Experience
I have worked as a public school teacher, principal, district superintendent, master teacher, and college instructor. In 2019 I was honored as a Phi Delta Kappa Distinguished Educator for my commitment to the core values of research, service, and leadership. I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist.
About
As a psychotherapist I integrate self-care with solution focused therapy. I see psychotherapy as a journey leading to a greater sense of well-being and transformation.
